CURATORIAL STATEMENT
Art & Soul: Stories We Carry was a deeply introspective exhibition that explored the emotions, memories, and experiences that shape our inner worlds. Centred on the connection between art and personal well-being, the exhibition invited visitors to slow down, reflect, and engage with artworks that speak to healing, identity, belonging, and the quiet truths we often hold within. Featuring paintings, textiles, mixed media pieces, and interactive elements, the exhibition created a gentle space where viewers could encounter stories of resilience, loss, joy, transformation, and hope. Each artwork offered a moment of recognition—an echo of the stories we carry through life, both spoken and unspoken.
Alongside the exhibition, the Dei Centre presented a series of community programmes including yoga, mindfulness, journaling, and reflective art sessions. These experiences encouraged visitors to use creativity as a tool for grounding, emotional release, and deeper connection with themselves and others. Art & Soul: Stories We Carry affirmed the Dei Centre’s commitment to nurturing thoughtful, healing-focused art experiences. It highlighted the power of creativity not only as expression, but as a pathway to understanding our personal journeys and the shared humanity that binds us.
