CURATORIAL STATEMENT
Evolution of Dreams was a reflective exhibition that explored how our aspirations shift and take shape over time. Presented in collaboration with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), the exhibition brought together artists whose works speak to growth, memory, and the quiet transformation that occurs as we move through different stages of life. Through painting, textile, and mixed-media works, visitors were invited to trace the journey of a dream—from its early spark, through moments of challenge and change, to its renewed form. Each piece offered a window into personal evolution, encouraging viewers to pause, reconnect with themselves, and consider how their own dreams continue to unfold.
The partnership with GIMPA added an important educational dimension, creating space for dialogue between art, academia, and community. Students, faculty, and guests engaged with themes of purpose, resilience, and self-discovery, highlighting the role of art in inspiring meaningful reflection. Evolution of Dreams reaffirmed the Dei Centre’s commitment to presenting exhibitions that nurture creativity, emotional insight, and deeper connection—reminding us that every dream is a living story, constantly in motion.
