Our Heart
Preserving the Legacy. Defining the Future of African Art.
The Dei Foundation stands as a guardian of one of the most significant private collections of contemporary Ghanaian art in the world. Founded by Seth Dei, the collection serves as a permanent document of Ghana’s history, soul, and identity.
The foundation is the artist-support and cultural impact arm of the Dei Centre. It exists to strengthen the lives, practices, and futures of artists by providing access, opportunity, and long-term support beyond exhibitions.
Seth Dei’s lifelong mission was to preserve, celebrate, and elevate Ghanaian art on both the local and international stage. The Foundation was established to continue this belief in a structured and sustainable way. Artists shape culture, and culture shapes society. We invest not only in individual practices, but in the future of creative life itself.
The Foundation builds on that legacy by expanding access to the arts, nurturing creative talent, and using art as a tool for education, healing, and community empowerment.
